So, the dinner is cooking, the beer is flowing, and its time for my Xmas report on the club.
Half way grading: B+.
Overall, I've been very impressed with the team this season so far. They are definately the best set of guys to suit up in the club colours since we formed. In Smurph we have a likely candidate for best Phoenix nettie (so far), and he seems to be getting more comfortable with each passing week. The big man, Brett Cloutier is rapidly becoming the clubs franchise player. Dominant on the ice (witness his 3 punch demolition of Rumun Ndur, and spanking of Andrew Sharp), and immensely popular off it. And in Beauregard, Tony has unearthed yet another superb forward, indeed, Beau is probably the find of Tonys coaching career.
The only downer, from my persective is the tendancy of late for us to run a bit 'hot and cold'. I'm sure its just a mid season blip, but time will tell on that.
And finally, a fond farewell to Dewi. Its allways a bugger when a player leaves during the season, but he is rightly putting his family first. Fare thee well Dewi, you will be missed.
Happy Xmas all.
